NA / 02 — About
An engineering company,
written down.
NA BauVision GmbH is a technology company operating at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Everything below is what we tell clients on the first call — written once, kept honest.

01 — Company overview
Who we are.
NA BauVision GmbH is a company of engineers. We design and build software systems, cloud platforms, and security programs for organizations that use technology as an operational tool rather than a demonstration piece.
Our engagements typically last across multiple releases and years of operation. Short projects are welcome; short thinking is not.
02 — Mission
Why we exist.
To build software and infrastructure that businesses can trust to run their most important operations — clearly designed, honestly documented, and quietly reliable.
03 — Vision
What we want the work to look like.
A technology practice where the code, the architecture, and the operational reality tell the same story. Where clients can read the design documents, understand them, and use them to make decisions.
Where systems delivered five years ago still make sense to the teams operating them today.
04 — Core values
Five values, in order.
- V.01
Clarity
If a decision cannot be explained in writing, it is not yet a decision.
- V.02
Rigor
Types, tests, reviews, and measurements. Not out of ceremony — out of respect for the system.
- V.03
Honesty
We say what we know, what we do not, and what would change our view.
- V.04
Independence
Our recommendations serve the client's system, not any specific vendor relationship.
- V.05
Durability
Every design choice is judged by how it will read to the team operating it in three years.
05 — Working principles
How we run a project.

- Written first. Architecture, contracts, and trade-offs live in documents before they live in code.
- Small increments. Value is delivered in weeks, not quarters. Nothing accumulates in the dark.
- Shared ownership. The client's team is inside the work — reading, reviewing, deciding.
- Realistic estimates. Ranges instead of point numbers, and updated when the ground shifts.
- Predictable rhythm. Same demo cadence, same status report shape, every week.
06 — Technical philosophy
Prefer the boring, understood tool.
Technology choices are made against the specific workload — never against a trend or a vendor slide. Mature, well-documented tools are strongly preferred unless a specific requirement rules them out.
Every architectural decision includes the alternatives we considered, the reason we rejected them, and the conditions under which we would change our mind.
We invest in tooling that reduces cognitive load: static typing, generated clients, consistent formatting, and pipelines that fail loudly when the code drifts from its contract.
07 — Client collaboration
How we work with clients.
We start every engagement by mapping the client's business model, technical environment, and internal capacity. We adjust our involvement to match — sometimes taking full delivery responsibility, sometimes augmenting an existing team, sometimes acting as an independent technical reviewer.
Communication is written, structured, and archived. Verbal decisions are followed by a written summary before they take effect.
08 — Quality & reliability
The standards we hold.
- Reproducible builds. Any release can be rebuilt from source at any later date.
- Automated verification. Tests, linters, and security scans run on every change.
- Observed production. Logs, metrics, and traces are part of the definition of done.
- Documented failure modes. Systems ship with a written description of how they can break and what to do about it.
- Deliberate deprecation. When something is retired, the plan for its replacement is written first.
09 — Team culture
A quiet, capable team.
We are a small, senior team. We hire for depth, not for headcount. Everyone in the company can read the code, join the architecture review, and hold a client conversation with the same technical accuracy.
Internal learning is continuous and deliberate: weekly reviews of recent decisions, a shared writing practice, and time reserved for deep work on infrastructure that no single project pays for on its own.

10 — Long-term development
We plan the company on the same horizon as the systems we build.
NA BauVision GmbH is organized around long-lived engagements. We invest in the tools, documentation, and internal practices that keep the work supportable across years — not just across the current contract.
